I've been interested in quilting for some time. Today, I bought a small quilt and I feel incredibly inspired every time I look at it. I'm hoping to visit a local quilt shop sometime this week and perhaps sign up for a quilting class. I do not have, nor have I ever used, a sewing machine, although I've been very interested in purchasing one. I'm hoping the quilting shop will have sewing machines available to use for classes. I would really like to know how to use a sewing machine, as well as how to quilt, before I think about the expense of purchasing my own machine to use at home.
Note: Now would probably be a good time to mention that I don't intend to neglect knitting. Knitting is and might always be my creative focus, but I'm interested in so many other crafts and I'm looking forward to learning other crafts, beginning with quilting. :)
